Freak Athlete is an innovate home gym training equipment helping customers bulletproof their bodies.

I’ve been fortunate to work as their operations manager, leading global supply chain and operations.

Project A - International Expansion 

Right as I was brought on, we began our international expansion efforts, and successfully launched and grew the business in Europe, UK, Canada, Australia, and tested emerging markets like LATAM and India.

I was responsible for everything ops, including but not limited to inventory planning, freight, 3PL management, COGS, and navigating the tax/legal landscape.

Since international launch, we have improved on our original COGS globally by 12.64%.

Project B - Bundle Packaging

Like many ecom brands, Freak Athlete’s core offer includes add-ons. Through a deep analysis of our shipping costs, we discovered the optimal way to handle multi-package shipments, which cut our last mile shipping expenses by about 13%.

Project C - Last Mile Shipping

As a fast growing brand, it’s important to renegotiate rates constantly with your last mile providers. Since some carriers perform better at certain regions, weights, and dims, we’ve adopted a multi-carrier strategy and rate-shopping tool that allows us to get the cheapest possible rate per package.

We have lowered our last mile shipping rates by 24% over the last 12 months.

Project D - Invoice Review

Invoice errors happen, and it’s our job to catch them. We discovered and won back $122k in invoice overcharges from our last mile carrier due to a discrepancy that caused us to be overcharged on our additional handling fee related to package weight.
